Many millennia ago, the earth and sky gave birth to the mighty Tytans – Kronos, Okeanus, Hyperion & Prometheus – who ruled benevolently during a period known as “The Golden Age.” Unnerved by an ancient prophecy, Kronos grew fearful of his own children and devoured each of them whole. After escaping their father’s belly, Zeus and his siblings waged a great war, eventually overthrowing and entombing the Tytans deep in Tartarus; the dark abyss where ancient souls are cast away to rot in perpetual punishment. Regrettably, the reign of the new gods became tainted by Zeus’ power-hungry greed and monstrous infidelities. As the Golden Age decayed into turmoil, the Tytans,
with the aid of Zeus’ daughter Athena, were released from their prison and seek refuge in the modern age. Now living in secret and concealing their powers, the Tytans have formed a rock band in the hopes to convert new followers into an army of Demigods to help battle Zeus and return the Tytans to their rightful place among the heavens. And thus, STEREOTYTANS was born!
Harrisburg Comic Con is proud to announce the addition of a local band specializing in APOCALYPTIC ROCK. Come see LAND OF 1000 ROBOTS live at Harrisburg Comic Con on Saturday, May 20. The band will be performing songs from their debut album ROBOTOPIA.
If you miss their performance on Saturday you can still swing by their booth on Sunday and pick up their debut CD and meet the band.
The story begins with two brothers, Daniel and Jonathan. These brothers loved adventure and all things strange, wonderful, and cool. So when they learned of a mechanized utopia across the sea, they purposed in their hearts to someday travel there. Land of 1000 Robots is the culmination of that journey to the faraway land of Robotopia. There the brothers found many adventures, made stalwart friends, but most importantly, received their magical powers of rocking out. Armed with new abilities and purpose, they returned to their home to share their vision with all who would dare listen…share their hearts with all who would hear…and give a warning for all who would heed.
Musically the band’s influence comes from modern and classic hard rock bands (Breaking Benjamin, King’s X, ACDC, Jethro Tull, etc..) Lyrically they are influenced by anything apocalyptic (zombies, Cthulhu)
